The Importance of Composition in the S&P 500

These are the highest performing stocks in the S&P 500 over the past 10 years. None of them were trading at single digit piece. You have a lot of cyclical stocks, but there is not one bank on this list. If we take a group of the best performers, you're going to generally have very bad performers which you've excluded.
