The people who own all that money don't have a decent store of value. So if you happen to make ten billion dollars, you get to a point where you buy a football club because what else are you going to do? You can't just keep buying more, you as dollar treasuries. And at some point it becomes more fun to go and just buy chelsea football club and go and watch them and oa a mes around with jose morino instead. But i think in a world in which you can just hold money and expect it to appreciate and not have to worry about this, i think a lot of those people would not get into football in the first place
