International Student Mobility in China - An Ethnographic Case Study

In 2017 China was the top supplier of tertiary international students to almost all our leading nations in the developed world. Given China's leading role in sending students to these destinations it is safe to claim that a great amount of financial capital is channelled out through student mobility. Research has shown that international students contribute disproportionately to research and innovation in destination countries. If you can easily find out how much the education industry foreign students are bringing to these economies it is not tens of billions in terms of Chinese contribution to their economy.
