The Disadvantages of Ambition in Girls

Girls are taught to aim for marriage and admire the institution of marriage in a way that they don't do other things. And really traditional communities like evangelical Christian communities, they're taught to be help meets for their future husbands. So I think that kind of self-esteem starts to wear down for girls early on.
