How to Build a Spanish Style House
So they would build, you know, this, this all up to about in whatever shape they wanted the house to be. And obviously you left openings for the windows m and the doors. Then when the walls got up to heights, you'd take am logs, which are called vigas in spanish. They'd put them in like a herring bone fashion on top of the big beams to make like a solid deck. So once they made a solid deck of of wood, they'd build up the parapet wall around the outside. The roof would actually be ten inches to a foot of adobe mud put on top of it.
