The Foundation of Psychosocial Development for Infants
Children will feel that sense of love and belonging when an infant's caregiver gets down and plays with them. We need to let them know, just like when they go to the doctor to get their shots, sometimes pain is going to happen but we can help themselves sooth. Pain is only a temporary experience and will help them feel better. A respecting who they are and giving them sens of mastery is helpful for infants if they develop this sense of trust, which is so important, trust versus mistrust.
