Breast Feeding in the United States

In the us, most women are restpeting. 80 % basically start breast feeding and about 50% are still doing it at six months. This is in a country where most women don't have any maternity leave. And so these numbers are incredibly high given the incredible, though high, personal cost of breast feeding for most women in the united states because of the absence of maternity leave.
