Francisco Doroteo Arango: A Controversial Figure
Francisco or Pancho Via was actually born Jose Doroteo Arango, Arambulo. At age 16, he killed a Hacienda owner named Augustine Lopez Negrette who had raped his sister. In 1903, he killed an army officer and stole his horse. According to Wiki, his friends called him La Cucoracha, which is cockroach.
