The Importance of Short Term Interest Convergence
There is not long term interest convergence between some of the folks who are first and foremost concerned with eliminating what they would derideingly refer to as government schools. And if you are fundamentally committed to ensuring that budgets are balanced, that's not a good outcome there. So I think that what explains the stunning string of victories is likely that a lot of folks whose agenda items were dismantling public education produce a kind of free market for education.
