Darma Function, or Swadalma, Is the Duty of Fighting
Shatia is a member of one of the three great castes of hindu society. Darma function, or swadarma, is probably best translated into english as vocation. The khatrie is one who has a vocation to fight. That's his job. Whereas a brahmin, or more particularly, one who has gone beyond caste altogether,. does not have the vocation or the duty of fighting.
