The Modernity of the Spanish Working Class
In Spain by the mid 30s you have this incredibly powerful working class movement. The more radical faction is anarchists who are trying not to work through capitalism that they feel that they're enmeshed in. They reject the requirement of Marxist dilatitionism, which is to push through the process of modernity. Instead, they say, no, we will resist modernity and we will develop a post scarcity economy. We will be building of it, not vying for state power imposing capitalist rationality from the center.
