A marketing message is a story, a purpose statement from a company is a story. If you have a logical and well-supported statistically supported set of information about why this thing is better than that thing, people may read it but they won't remember it. You can see a television commercial from Japan and get the message, even if you don't understand a word they're saying. That's because you see that people are solving problems and that's the story that you remember.
