Are You Going Active With Passive Management?

Most investors now, for the past few years, have got en comfortbith the idea of being passive and index based. Passive management simply means that your investments are designed to follow an unmanaged index. But there is a huge debate between passive and active man ment with international stocks. Some of the international stocks, like china's lot of state owned companies, can be very highly weighted in the index. Whereas if you have a manager that can pick and choose, you might do a little better, or even a lot better, with actively managed international funds.
