I track my resting heart rate with an ore ring. When i see it starting to go up, i know that i'm getting in worse arobic shape. So when i see that happen, i start to focus on eropic exercise. I just choose a method like walking, biking, elliptical. You don't even have to pay attention to your heart rate although you can and keep it in that 60 to 70 % of your heart rate max. And then the next day you can go hit the weights.
