Most of the time cataract surgery and the absence of high pressure or other problems is overall a very well tolerated procedure. EBS studies show that if visual acuity was light perception or worse, that proceeding straight to the trectomy would be the best course of action. If I'm worried or if something just does not look right in terms of hypopion or their suggestion that this could be a, you know, very bad organism, meaning it's pretty severe over a short period of time, I think doing a trectomy is still reasonable.
