Introduction
Hadley Arches is the founding director of the James Wilson Institute on Natural Rights in the American Founding. He's also a professor at Amherst College and the Food Director. In his new book, Mere Natural Law, he argues for an originalism that does not detach the texts of the constitution from those underlying moral truths. We have this odd situation in which just feel constrained some type two appeal to the objective truth of the matter.
