The Refurbishment of an Old Penny

In the 80s, and I remember this, there was a major restoration project. They had to be just as creative maintaining this thing as they had been erecting it in the first place. The fundraising for that refurbishing happened a whole lot faster than the original fundraising. President Reagan turned the project over to Lee Iacocca and he oversaw it as kind of a private fundraising event.
