In 1996, Tucko Bell ran advertisements and newspapers nationwide that they, to help the national debt, they had bought the Liberty Bell. They were renaming it the Tucko Liberty Bell. People lost their minds over it. It got a ton of press for Omaha stakes. Was never real. A big story was Spider-Man 2 was going to put their logos on the, the bases in Major League Baseball games. Totally made up. The exact same thing as this.
