Nearly as much time has passed since the Russian authorities accelerated an aggressive campaign to censor political speech online. After February 24, 2022, when many Western companies withdrew from Russia and the state outlawed other platforms, the runet's future seemed uncertain. Well, it's 2023 now. The runet hasn't collapsed. And networks with a lot of content the Kremlin hardly welcomes like YouTube and Telegram are still available in Russia.
