Broskie Jackson grew up in South Mississippi and a place called Hattiesburg. As a young child, his great-grandmother told him he couldn't go outside without shoes on. Fast forward to sophomore year at Xavier University in New Orleans. He switched his major from biology pre-med to microbiology because of the Mark Fellowships.
