The History of the Plain of the Jars in Laos

Madelyn Colani was the first researcher to suggest that the jars might be burial urns. She and her sister traveled there after hearing reports of these megaliths in the mountains. Today, only about 10% of the now more than 100 known jar sites in Laos have been cleared of UXOs.
