The Secret Baby Trope

I think the thing with tropes is that we don't need to be because it's a building block. I mean, yes, it can be a physical baby. You can do it like that. Or you can use it as something that happened in the past. And then it's your head you're dealing with the result in romance. A lot of times it's a shorter term thing. They get together. They break up. Then they get together again. It's all happily ever after usually when the baby arrives. So my kind of favorite example of a trope with change is ugly duckling.
