Cicero's Philosophy
Cicero's work on the nature of the gods remains one of our most important sources for Stoic and Epicurean theology. Even when writing philosophy, Cicero is still a rhetorician who insists that good philosophy should be stylistically appealing. In taking Plato and Aristotle as his heroes, he emphasizes not only their dialectical approach to philosophy but also their rhetorical craft.
