Frederick Koner's Gidget

Frederick saw potential in Kathy's stories of the Malibu surf scene. He wrote Gidget in three weeks. Mickey Dora would be right there, auditioning for roles and getting paid handsomely. Friends of his told me it was actually the only honest money he made in his whole life. But he also claimed to hate Hollywood and everyone who worked in the business or had a connection to it.
