227: Associate Compensation and Reverse Engineering Short and Long Term Goals
The Dentalpreneur Podcast w/ Dr. Mark Costes

Is 35% the Industry Standard?
I really like to see our associates get compensated the industry average, which is 30%. And then in addition to that 30%, we're taking 30% of their lab fees off of their production as well. So I don't know if I want to go down that road of starting to inch up the associate compensation. Once you get to a point, say at phase one, when you've squeezed every expense category down as much as it possibly can be, you don't want to demote, fire or decrease pay for anybody on your payroll. That's by driving more new patients through to practice and producing more dentistry.
