Are We on to an Evolution of Cryptocurrency?

I wonder if there's a world in which as we move on these layers, we start to move away from like this sheer money element and we're able to bring in other elements that at least have some motivation beyond monetary stuff. People aren't coming away from DeFi thinking that it's fake, right? So obviously we lost a lot of money. And I think people are going to look at this thing and think, hmm, well, I have an idea how to do it better.
