Jakarta would need a poller system to keep low-lying areas dry and inhabitable, says Kelly Manta. Poller is a Dutch word for a low-lying area which needs to be continually pumped out. It's something that has been done in Holland since the 1700s, he adds. "If you bite water, if you bite water to people's houses, that seems to me as a more sustainable solution"
