I Love Narrative in Movies
Relly: I love narration when it seems to kind of like compliment, undermine, add things that aren't on the screen. To havethe word bacchanalia over pictures of kids mashing their noses into a department store window and looking like absolute wretches makes the narration really good to me. And i also think what i like about it is the difference of age. Because exactly what you're saying, it gives you two different stories. You're following, not the voice of the child's inner monologue, following the adult who is looking back on his childhood.
