Oxygen Saturation Monitoring in Children With Bronchitis
Two thirds of kids with bronchiolitis are desatting below 90%. This is considered sort of a normal state of affairs for any child who's well enough to be at home. Most of these desaturations happen during sleep, so parents were supposed to write down when the kid was asleep and they were awake. So it sounds like we shouldn't be doing continuous oxygen saturation monitoring. How do we actually order? Do we say oxygen saturation Q1H? It really depends on how sick the kid is.
