There's just no singular, a singular definition for it. And i think that's what makes the the practice of folk lore so fun or it. What is this thing folk life that you mentioned in your notes to me? Postward war, too, there was a shift and how american scholars approached the study of folklore. There was saa desire to distinguish themselves from their european counterparts who were still primarily focused on documenting and preserving oral traditions.
