Many of the key figures have grown up through new york and chicago newspapers. There is actualy a large element of guilt that pyle was actually initially, at the start of the war,. He felt it's his duty to go back and report from the front. So i think there's his sense of actually duty to the reader and to the home front. This was what makes this war different from america's other wars. They do all ultimately bind to so i've sort of emphasize, to begin with, some of these rivalries, but they do all by i to the cause.
