Treskott and the German 19th Army
The Germans were in tatters. They didn't have much to stop, but they were brilliant in their defense. The Siss Armor Division that broke through, that was used in the breakthrough at Wallendorf, had spent two days in Luxembourg getting gas and artillery before moving into Germany. General Treskott realized that they had limited supplies, but he said, if we want to do it, we'll do it. He was turned down, again, probably by Schaf and Eisenhower.
