Sleep loss and circadian rhythm disruption will lead to a more porous opening of your gut barrier. The consequence when you have a leaky gut like that is that you can't absorb nutrients very well. And it may be that oxidative damage caused by a lack of sleep that opens up the gut explains why we see leaky gut syndrome in human beings who are not getting sufficient sleep.
