The Influence of Kant on Biology
Kant's influence on biology is something which is kind of widely accepted. I was really interested in that kind of dialogue, that back and forth because Zemeter would have claims like it was only by misunderstanding Kant that biology emerges as a special science. And what Kant offers in terms of his philosophy is a very rational system which in kind of broad strokes denies knowledge of the existence of God but makes room for faith. The book in a way is trying to offer some clarity to the way that Kant may have influenced the development of science,. not just biology, but kind of science more generally.
