Columbia - The First Left Wing President?

Most south american countries have had a left wing leader at some point in their history. But until now, columbia was the exception. There are so many ways to explain why the lift was not able to get to power in columbia. The reputation of the guerillas went from bad to worse since the nineties till now. So the possibility of having left is agenda here is just too difficult. And add it to the fact that columbian society has been quite conservative.
