Introduction

The company that had these big ambitions to be Australia's biggest soft plastics recycling scheme has now collapsed. RedCycle itself is under administration, having racked up debts reportedly totaling something like $5 million. So what we know is that there's around 11,000 tons in total of plastic that RedCycle was meant to have saved from landfills. But it is instead piled up in 44 different locations around Australia.
