Clustering: A New Way to Store Data
In 5.3 and 6.0, the cluster collection removes that hidden index altogether. The value now is not that a current ID anymore. It's actually the whole document, the base and document. And then you return it after you decompress it and do all that jazz. We try to avoid random because when you do random, you're reading from multiple places in desk,. You're lowering the case cases of logical reads which is basically page heads or memory.
