If you're trying to learn a new skill, just, again, use your identity to your advantage. So stand up, whatever you want to do, say you're that, and then just put the time in. The thing that i heard hat really helped me with this is, life is long. And so if you spend six months, say, learning how to be a podcaster, instead of learning how to write and trying to do them at the same time, you can just spend the next six months after thatlearning how to write. That kind of sequential skill building in learning actually ends u moving you much faster in the directions you want to go.
We all want to learn new things, whether it's how to cook, speak Spanish, write, code, or surf. But how often do you follow through and actually make progress on learning the skill you say you want to learn? Not often enough. In this episode, Steph and I discuss how we approach learning new skills and how you can get better at translating your desires into reality.
