When i was young and prideful, i really didn't like the parable of the lost sheep in luke 15. It says that god rejoices over the soul that has returned than over the 90 and nine, just persons who have no need of repentance. And then it dawned on me, who's the only one who could righteously be angry about that designation? God likes repentant sinners more than than perfectly faithful sons.
