The Singularity and the Future of Technology

The idea of the singularity goes something like this: We eventually will reach a point in technological development where there is a tipping point. After that tipping point, things will be evolving and advancing so quickly that it becomes impossible to define the present at any given moment. It's an era of incredibly unimaginably rapid and constant evolution. And it will encompass not just our technologies but potentially even ourselves.
