The Rich Man and Lazarus in Exodus Chapter 28
Lazarus is not the centre of this parable. He is some one who does nt really do anything at all. Lazarus mostly serves as a foil against which the rich man experiences and the utter finality of the state that he ends up in can be described more aptly. The deaths of the rich man and lazarus possibly refer to the end of the old order and the bringing in of the kingdom, or at least they anticipated.
