The Evolution of Money in Ancient Antiquity
Gold has the longest history as money. Anthropological evidence for what happened with things like seashells and beads is much, I would say much weaker. And this is those forms of money all got out competed by gold before those societies were complex enough that even the concept of a unit of account was meaningful. Now this is a really compelling framework. I really like how that that is structured. And I think it makes a lot of sense to to think about it in terms of gold and in Bitcoin as well.
