William Petty was a doctor who looked on as the process of redistribution is beginning. He could see that it was going to be a disaster because there were a whole lot of professional surveyors huffing and puffing around Dublin Castle at the time. With his amazing brain for kind of digesting information and tasks he said he can do this much more quickly than anyone else. The book tells the story of how they actually physically managed it and the achievement which still survive each parish was divided up into a series of sub areas and mapped down to every field in 1653-1654.
