There is evidence that mid-career women are often stuck on the committees that don't matter in the department. I remember at one point she was asked to sit on my university's child care committee, possibly even chair it. And they said, no,. I said, no, I won't do it. Because there should be parity in these kinds of things. So we need the male viewer about child care. It isn't just women who look after the children. The evidence is that women want to have confidence. They've got a secure position possibly because they want to have staff, family.
