Uber Eats and DoorDash Drivers Are Employees, Not Employees
Economist says reclassifying gig workers as employees would be a good deal for the workers. He says that gaining some benefits and protections would come at the cost of flexibility. The California public agreed with the Eats and workers who did not want to be classified as employees. In November 2020, Prop 22 was approved by more than 58% of voters.
