What's More of a Material Need Than Food in Your Belly?
The communist won over millions of regular people not through abstract arguments and persuasion with words, but by actually meeting their material needs. That that lesson is still applicable around the world. And in the american context, although very, very different, there's still a deep ignorance about what socialism and communism mean. But it's really in those moments of crisis, when the socialist and the communist come out to help regular people in need, that you win over more sympathy than you ever could with a million essays and a million words.
