The Disintegration of the Kingdom of Bhagawan
Naratiapate was assassinated along with his son and heir on the 10th of May 1299. The death of this king was the final death blow for the disintegrating kingdom of Bhagawan. All remaining provinces that had once been loyal to it now broke away. When one of Naratiapate's sons named Kjelswa did emerge as ruler he would reign over only the diminished and impoverished city of Bhagawan itself. Throughout this whole period the Mongols could have easily moved in to occupy the territory of BhagAWan but they didn't. In fact they would send no more expeditions to restore order.
