Covetousness, Arms Are Greed.
The key line in this little passage is at the end of his list, covetousness, arms are greed. Other translations have covetouss, that's actualy idolatry. The closest you get paul is saying that an idolater is not just somebody from ancient rome or greece who would bow before a statue. It's anybody who would put desire in the place of god in their life as ultimate reason for why they do what they do.
