The Role of Genetics in Addiction

There are pretty well established genetic contributors to the way people respond to drugs. People have extremely severe hangovers whenever they drink like me for example so much that drinking is basically not an option. We are in totally different boats when it comes to how we respond to alcohol. Some people never have any kind of anxiety associated with cannabis if anything it has an anti-anxiety effect. There is definitely a component of the individual biological psychological metabolic response to these substance. That is real and documented.
