The Importance of Strength Training for Climbers

Gymnastics exercises such as front levers and back levers, planches, l seats, v seats, handstands all that kind of stuff. Is it useful is it something that I should invest a lot of time in or is it not essential for a climber? Eric: It ultimately is to have strong shoulders and strong core that you can gain from some of these gymnastics tricks and calisthenics is helpful but it's not essential certainly not for a beginner or intermediate climber who just needs to learn to climb.
